Anyone else have Allianz do their loler checks?
I've had a few done and they are as erratic as the weather, what one inspector will 'A' defect, another will put down as a 'B' defect.
Or some will misinterpret exactly what the limitations of a trucks parking brake on gradients.
It seems as though some of these chaps are not experts in fork lifts and seem to be reading off a script as a one size fits all check list.
I'd be interested in any other peoples experience of allianz.

99% of insurance inspectors are complete useless tossers. One of my lads went to a breakdown on a truck 2 days after a so called inspection by Allianz where the truck was given a clean bill of health and the front r/h leg of the over head guard was completely snapped at the bottom and all 4 corners were cracked!
Most of the time they seem more interested in what stickers are missing of the truck than actual safety issues!!
The 2 Zurich inspector's around here are shocking too gent's. B defect's for light's not working.yes ok but I was more worried about sheared mast anchor bolts that was missed !!!
They may be engineers but I suspect they do not know or understand forklifts
I once saw an Insurance inspector checking forklifts on a very large fleet and had a quick discussion with him. When I realised he was spending about 5 min on each check I gave up and lost confidence in Insurance inspections,
I suspect if it had a firm brake pedal and the chains were Ok he was happy to claim his Fee !!!!!!!
Why these companies don't trust experts to do the job properly beats me.
Customer I look after, they use Allianz for insurance inspection.
I've never had any bother over several years, the 2 different inspectors that visit the site have both been doing the job for years.
Its sounds like its down to training / experience.
Another customer I looked after used a different insurance company & they where very inconsistent depending on which inspector looked at the truck.
