changer

I have a hyster w40z I put a new charger on that I bought off amazon, I got it all hooked up and It is charging, I have it hooked up right but the charger feels hot to the touch and I do not believe that is normal the charger has some kind of a mode selector and comes pre set on mode 2 does anyone know the amperage the charger should be pulling or any knowledge about the mode selection? Thx

No the charger does not have a built in fan but neither did the old one or any of the others either that I am aware of, the batteries are brand new although it did not have a charge for about 2-3:weeks and was at half full when I hooked it up and charged it

Mode 2 works for most lead acid type batteries. Does this charger have a built in fan? The amperage that the charger pulls is in direct relation to the state of charge of the batteries. It is not abnormal for the charger to get hot if the batteries are full discharged.
