thanks for the reply edward t, the customer said they repaired a broken wire disconnected ansd re-connected the battery and now all is working fine. Never got our eyes on the unit all the info was relayed over the phone from the customer dont know which wire but will try to find out. thanks again

in the hour meter does it show the hours? or does it show a code?, as a general rule, failures that are repaired the light goes out automagically. it may very well still have the failure. can you further describe the light?

You will need to provide a complete serial number.
Depending on what the actual fault is you may have to have a Cat dealer come in and reset.
