TRUCK SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY NO CODES GIVEN

Dear all, please help. I have a truck we just purchased and sent out on rent. The truck will randomly have the engine die and then start up after a short time. The truck is not throwing any codes. Let me know if any of you guys have run into this.

when you say "no codes" is that as the engine dies, or is it when you get to the truck? can you access the truck's diagnostic code history either through the dash or through the software?
you may find the ignitor in the distributor bad, and lacking 'heat sink grease'.
just a couple of wags
?got (full to mark on dipstick) motor oil?
?key switch?
