Engine check light.

Hi all, I have a Toyota 7FGCU45 with the GM v6 Vortex engine. The engine check light in the right hand corner of the display is lit with no problems with the truck operation? when the ignition is on and engine not started it blinks slowly the code 1. any ideas what will cause this fault code. Thanks for your help.

If you are looking at the pins inside the connector, with the connector clip to the top... It will be the top row of pins, far left is Pin 1, far right is Pin 4

You will need to jump pin 1 and 4 on the diagnostic connector to enter blink mode. Then with key on and engine off the check engine light will blink the code. Most likely the O2 Sensor is faulty or fuel is rich or lean. Most of the time this is the issue with these trucks.
