Battery Latching Problem

RRE200CC S/N : 6289023
Manual says to lock in battery... you retract the reach carriage till it stops.... then let go of the button and then pull the button a second time. A loud clunk should be heard, indicating the latch dog has latched around the release rod.
However, sometimes it takes 15 or 20 "second pulls" on the retract button to achieve this ??

The battery bed catch will want adjusting.

There is an eccentric cam on the catch, simply adjusting the cam will fix the issue.

It may take a few goes at getting it right if this is the first time you have adjusted one.
