Continental LP gas engine gains high RPM after it warms up why?

Could also be worn bushings in the mixer where the throttle shaft goes through.

Customers love technology- until they have to pay to fix it!
check throttle linkage and make sure it is not loose
throttle screw may be turned too far in
air/fuel mixture may be wrong
advance plate in distributor may be hanging up causing it to advance timing and not return to normal timing

many things can cause idle to change and idle up, those are just a couple reasons

In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
