Hi all,

What is the global norm/standard/criteria for visibility of the forklift truck with capacity of 16/20/25/32Ton?

Please, help me...

All,

Thanks for replying.

ISO has published following standard to measure visibility of the industrial truck up to 10000Kg and it also gives minimum acceptable requirements aswell.

# ISO 13564-1:2012. Powered industrial trucks. Test methods for verification of visibilitySit-on and stand-on operator trucks and variable-reach trucks up to and including 10 t capacity. #

So
1) Is there any other standard/criteria to check visibility of the truck for >10000Kg capacity?
2) standard/criteria/method that is used by any forklift manufacturer to check visibility of the truck?

please help...

There are visbility standards for forklifts - most involve sightlines looking fowards as well as driving in reverse. Cannot recall the exact design std but i do recall our testing labe doing a lot of testing & measuring in the late 70s early 80s One of the thngs that came out of it - we discontineed the vertical mtd. LP tank.

I have never heard of a standard for visibility on any forklift truck. Most trucks of the capacity that you refer to are equipped with side shifting fork positioners so depending on where your forks are positioned you could either see both of them or neither of them.
