Not firing with 3 different coils distributor 4 months old

Has mitsu 4g64 timing belt finally got the truck running right then lost spark tried new coil used coil out of running truck tried same distributor out of different truck. The distributor is about 4 months old. Someone ran the power wire off a hot stud by the lock off it was running like that before but i think maybe we fried something by bypassing the original harness i hate to keep guessing need some help please. What am i doing wrong. Cleaned all the grounds truck has no computer.

My memory may be failing but I think there should be a resistor down by the coil. I'd check for power there first
