Discussion:
Mast Roller Spindle Taper Position

Hi there,
I have a customer machine that is a Hyster H7.00XL with a 6m lift 2 stage mast.
We are currently replacing the mast inner channel lower roller spindles. These old spindles were destroyed on removal by the engineering shop and they did not realize they had been welded in an angled position so have no reference point for the new ones to be fitted. The new spindles have a taper mounting surface so the angle will be correct.

My question is, does anybody know which way these spindles have to be attached for correct lower roller alignment?

The top roller spindles are still in place. (Standing behind the mast, looking down at the top, the front edge of the top rollers taper outwards away from the inner). Do you think we should mount the new lower ones in the opposite direction to the top?

I'm finding it hard to get drawings of the lower inner channel rollers in position to determine this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Jason.
