Toyota 7FGCU35

I have a truck that will not start until the ign key is slightly released it is a 4.3 GM Vortec. Any ideas. The key switch has been changed did not help.

Thank-you for your help thats just what I did and the problem was cured as well as a few others.I am new to this forum and I must say I am impressed with the quality people here willing to help,I will be doing the same for others every chance I get.

thank-you for the tip I cleaned all the grounds today and added a heavy ground from the engine to the frame it worked great again thanks

You may want to add another ground wire. That is what I have been doing and it usually cures the problem.

Good luck, I had one of these kick my ***. Check all the ground straps on the engine and chassis, there are a few. Try new spark plugs. Make sure you have a good strong battery. Try hooking up a battery charger, if it fixes the problem you may just have a so-so battery. The one I had was so bad the customer traded it in before I had a chance to finally repair it.
