Code 44 - Parameter Setting Error In Lift Power
Amplifier

General Information:
At Start-Up, the Display Card and Lift Amp
begin communication via the CAN harness at
connectors HD1 & JL2. If the Display Card is
not receiving the necessary Lift Amp parameter
settings or if the settings are out of normal
range, Error Code 44 is displayed.
Possible Causes & Checks:
1. Check for all three software versions
(DM,TPA & LPA) being displayed in Analyzer
Test 61.
a. If all software versions are displayed,
communication is OK.
b. If software versions are not displayed (all
zeros), check for poor connections at the
CAN harness between connectors HD1,
JT2 & JL2. Repair or replace harness as
required. If connections are OK, replace
the Display Card.
2. Go to Calibrate mode and reset the power
amp default settings (PwrAmpDf).
a. If Error Code 44 is still displayed after
cycling the key switch, replace the Lift
Amp.
b. If truck is operating normally, check for
static strap. Install if not equipped.
Make sure strap is clean and making
full contact with floor. The use of a static
chain is recommended for durability.
