did scribble in crayon, upon this forum: as the "Pedal Dance" in thread number 6842.
Turn the ignition switch on with accel. pedal released, after 3 seconds fully depress the accel pedal 5 times within 5 seconds(end in released position). After 7 seconds(timing is very important...1 mississippi 2 mississippi etc....) press and hold down accel pedal for approximately 10 seconds(again timing) until the hour meter starts blinking, release pedal and push down and hold again for 10 seconds) hour meter should be on with no codes showing, shut key off and test to see if codes cleared.

Re-posted here to prevent disappearance and 'ease of searching'.

On my Nissan 60 series trucks, the check engine light does the flashing, not the hour glass.

If you unplug the battery for at lest 2 hours, or overnight preferably , the codes will clear. It depends upon the year of the truck. The newer ones only take 5 minute of the battery un plugged to clear the codes.

Had a Nissan L02 with code 31 and some others because I unplugged mass air sensor and throttle pot. After I fixed the problem (plug on throttle body) came back week later all codes were cleared. My guess is that when truck goes through so many cycles of no fault all memory gets overwritten to 0. I could not get through peddal dance with this one no matter what I did. Throttle pot must be bit off. I have 4 komatsu units and I can do it on first time on them.
