code 51

I have a Hyster E50XM2-33 sn F108V19668X that is giving a code 51. It happens while the hydraulic functions are being used. The thermistor on the line contactor gets hot. All the control fuses are good. Any help will appreciated.

Status Code-51
Description
Voltage on C1 too high when motor current is high.
Cause of Status Indication
This Status Code is indicated when the voltage on C1 is greater than 225 volts and the motor current is greater than 300 amps.
Indication of Fault
Forward or Reverse contactors open and close, then close only when the key switch is opened and closed.
Possible Cause
Too much inductance from cables.
Check that the battery cables are too long.
Circuit
Traction

Check that additional cables for other equipment have been added.
Motor current too high.
Check for a short circuit at a field winding.
Check for a short circuit across an armature winding.
