Mfg 1996
Diesel Deutz engine
After replacing the rotary coupling and collector assembly, I now have a problem fully retracting the tower cylinder. All cylinders retract properly except for this one, by 12" which prevents the machine from operating in high speed.When trying to synchronize the cylinder using the override valve proceedure, the tower cyl will not lower past the point when I have pulled the override valve.( if I raise the cyl 2' and pull the red **** then the cyl will not lower past this point,so right now the cyl is almost fully extended).
All the lines are connected proper and not aware of the machine having problems before.
Any info on what I might be over looking

Isolated the problem to two holding valves.
Thanks for the additional info
i know this thread is fairly old and you probably already figured it out but just for reference to anyone that deals with jlg units and the emergency lowering systems there are 2 steps you must take to get it to lower correctly
first there are release valves on the base of the cylinders that have to be opened
secondly pull the lowering valve
now once you get it lowered you can then close the valves and it will operate normally , if you try and lower it without openeing these valves it will now lower correctly or at all
these valves come in 2 types that i've seen, one is a black **** on the square base and the other is a red twistlock type **** located in the lowering solenoid on the cylinder base block.
Thanks for the info, I`ll give it a try
hello , i think you ll get the info from the jlg website
, you can get direct to jlg site , it is free , and well done...
bye now..;
