Discussion:
ring gear, starter

I have a 2008 393 in my shop with a worn out ring gear and starter. I never changed one on a 393. Do I have to take out the whole engine and pumps, or is it possible to take the pump of the engine inside the truck?

Hasnt Linde moddified the parts for these to cure this issue? ? ?

There was a thread on here I saw a while back mentioned a new type starter with a different amount of teeth on the cog.

You can do it by taking out just the pump, its a fairly easy job.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
