Thanks for info, i can only see one cap, near the steinbock controller, this truck doesnt have a separate hydraulic module. Are there other capacitors, if so where are they located. Thanks for your help.

Hi Gary
check the capacitors on the truck sounds like youve got a blown one, which would give you higher voltage and make hydraulics run. probably the caps near the hydraulic module

Truck went dead for customer, nothing works. no display on bdi, sent steinbock controller for repair, refitted, steering and hydraulics now work although power steering permanently on. No traction and the bdi doesnt work, checked supplys to bdi, all correct.have noticed i have 60v at the two traction terminals of the controller?? truck is 48v, sent controller back to repairers but they have tested it and say on the bench, everything works, including the bdi. Any ideas.

Hi Gary
If the fault is intermittant it looks like you have a problem with the shunt wires try taking them off and cleanining make sure you put them back on the same way as you took them off if problem still there you will have to go into the box and trace the shunt wires to the pins and clean and make sure they have a good contact the shunt wires will be on a copper strip and the colours are purple and grey fasten by two philip screws.
Hope this helps let me know how you get on
