can anyone shed light on a issue i am having on a linde r14, which uses the shunt would dc motor controller, not the ac version.
truck serial: g1x115 n01379
Everything works in the sense i have hydraulics, steer and traction, but the traction is slow.
Unfortunately the display is not working so i cannot tell what the error code is, BUT the display itself works as i have tried it on another truck in the workshop.
I have tried the display off the working truck on this truck and the display does not power up.
Now the strange part, i checked all the voltages on the connector for the working display on the working truck and i get the exact same voltages on the truck which the display does not power up on.
Then it gets even weirder if the same type of display off an ac truck which we have in the workshop is connected to the truck with the fault the display powers up albeit with the book light showing and then drops out line contactor.
Has anyone come across this type of problem before on any type of linde electric trucks?
Also on the working truck if i disconnect the power unit controller logic connector and the interface logic card and the hydraulic card logic connector, the display still powers up, so i am guessing none of these cards provide an output feed to the display??
Any advice would be appreciated :)
The only difference between the 2 trucks i have are the working one has a keyswitch and then a number pad for a code which powers the display after the code is entered. The faulty truck just has a normal key switch, when turned energises the line contact but no display

Thanks for the info and assistance everyone.
Problem resolved, after changing all things around eventually replaced the steer assembly which has some form of connection with the canbus system and solved the problem. It was the last thing left to change on the truck, lucky we had the extra truck in the workshop.

Your porblem is really strange and I never met this before. The following is just idea for you & do hope it may help you to find the thing :
- If the truck with LID (display) removed or LID defecitve it can work normally but the traction speed will be reduced at low speed.
- Check the output of DC - DC converter 48/24VDC if the output is enough 24 VDC when LID installed ?
- In order to check if one of the outputs of LID is shortcircuit you should try to unplug all connectors for cooling fans, heigth sensors, brake fluid sensor,...) and see if the LID will display ?
- Or you can try to connect only the power supply and canbus connection for LID to see if if the LID will display ? By this way: from the connector 6X1 for LID (16 pins), use some wiring to connect
=> Pin 1 (6X1:1) of connector female 6X1 to respective the male connector pin of LID to supply + 24 VDC (black red color)
=> Pin 1 (6X1:16) of connector female 6X1 to respective the male connector pin of LID to supply 0 VDC (blue).
=> Pin 1 (6X1:14) of connector female 6X1 to respective the male connector pin of LID to supply the CAN high signal (Violet white).
=> Pin 1 (6X1:15) of connector female 6X1 to respective the male connector pin of LID to supply the CAN Low signal (Violet Red).
=> Pin 1 (6X1:3) of connector female 6X1 to respective the male connector pin of LID to supply + 48VDC of battery (Orange).
- If not, you must check the CANbus signal to the LID by measuring the resitant between CAN High & CAN Low (6X1:15 & 14) in order to know if it = 60 Ohm ? if not the canbus signal is missing and you need to check the wiring otherwise you couldn't get the LID display. This is because, the power supply only help the LID to light up but all information must be received from the canbus system.
