Crown makes there own quad mast.
Hey try this, look up a few high dollar parts from each of the mfg. that make the model you are looking for and check price and availability for that part. If you buy anything other than a crown you will pay the difference in truck cost on the first repair.
Oh but then there is the down time when some mfg. don't have the part. Just buy the crown.

Raymond used to make the Cat big electrics (7k & up) under a manufacturing agreement with MCFA. MCFA for a period of time provided Raymond MCFA built electric counteralanced producs under a private lable agreement. Of course, that's when they were friends & Raymond was building Class II/II product for Cat & Mitsi. Then along came all the buy outs BT buying Raymond - then Toyota buying BT, BT Prime-Mover & Raymond, etc

Yes they make sit downs now..

Though I wonder at a sit down lift in a freezer, seems inefficient compared to reach trucks

Thanks so far for the info guys

In my last couple orders from Hyster, every one of my trucks had Q/A issues and the're warranty process is very slow.

From the research I have done, Crown and Toyota also make there own masts?

My application is dry, but once the trucks come out of the -30 blasts the're soked, the freezers are -20 and the dock and charging area are ambient temp.

Any other Fleet Managers out there running in an application like this?

In My Opinion either a Hyster or Yale for one reason they are teh only company that make a 4 stage mast for their trucks - whick means they can minimize the distance from the center of the drive wheel to the face of the carriage which equal better lift capacity retention. Also, in my opinion have better thru the mast viewing for the operator. As far as I know all other companies buy their 4 stage mast from an outside supplier. Both brands are good adn reasonably reliable. When it comes to freezer application - any prand will have issues from condesation over time. One thing you need to do is define the meaning of Freezer temperature (actual temperature in side the freezer - not the max freezer capability) - Operating cycle - time spent in & out of the freezer, floor conditions, especially at the entry. Where the truck batteries will be charged, Average lift/lower cycle per hour/per work shift, etc

I currently represent no major brand or lift truck dealer. No longer work in the lift truck industry but have worked with various lift companies/dealers over the years. Like the song goes "I have my toes in thw water and a z z in the sand with a PBR in my hand!" and after Obama get thru, I won't be able to afford to lose by smiling golf **** on the water holes.

"Have An Exceptional Day!"
one made on a Tuesday or Wednesday, from about 9Am until about 11Am.
you may notice that almost all of us think the brand who's logo is on the sign of the shop where we pick up our checks stubs is going to be what we consider "best".
