We have a Wave 50-84 in our shop. we have had it in here several times for other problems. this time we are stuck. The machine wont do anything at all. driver platform is stuck about 3 feet in the air. and it wont move at all. no forward/reverse or steering. the battery bar code keeps coming up with the last 3 bars lite up. according to the book is means the rider is not in position. but we are. we have a curtis hand set for it. but so far have not found a fix with it. can anybody point us in the right direction. besides pushing it off a cliff. we already thought of that several times.

I had a few complains from the customers that sometimes the WAVE stops when lifting with no apparent reason.
I came to found out that it was a faulty fuse.
Interesting thing is the fuse didn't burn out, but the body of the fuse breaked from the screw "hook".

I solder it back again and received no complains after.
This happened on quite a few WAVE's that I check this on regular basis.
Quick tip.
1. To check the foot safety switches
- turn the key switch on -> step on the platform (foot switches) -> if the switches are OK the strobe lights start blinking
2. To check the hand sensors
- turn the key switch on -> step on the platform -> put your hands on the controls -> the yellow question mark on the display must shut off
We are having the same problem. The back orange lights that usually turn on as soonest you turn on the unit are not working as well..
If it's stuck in the air. try your chain slack switches first. two below motor cover. two in platform.
manually lower the platform and then check the operation of the two optical hand presence switches and the two foot presence switches with the curtis handset.

If it won't do anything at all try checking the plug behind the front drop down panel (where you plug it in to charge)
You have to physically remove the panel to check it but weve found that there isn't enough play on the harness and once you lift and lower the panel a few times the harness plug comes apart.
We actually tie strap it together as part of our PDI to alleviate an future issue's

Have you checked the floor switch? Also the 9 core at the top of the mast section sometimes pinches up and breaks. The manual/drive button that is on the front panel that lowers down can do this. The final is the Emergency disconnect buuton on the dash.
