Discussion:
Atlet trucks

I have never seen an Atlet truck in person, but they look pretty awsome in some of the videos ive seen. Does any body with experience on these units have anything to say about Atlet forklifts?

I have work on both atlet & Crown. ATlet is a quality unit. Crown is good depending on which unit you are look at. Down here all parts are very pricey.
If you have an Atlet dealer handy go with Atlet. But make shore that the dealer have training for there techs. It is most important. No matter how good
the machine it come back to service tech.................

They look cool but you will really struggle with parts, very expensive and there is no support. Most times you can only get parts from certain locations in the US. Very limited distribution on parts support. Crown would be a better choice. Trucks are more robust and support is second to none.

For me Crown is much better than Atlet if we speak of Productivity. Looks? Atlet. Crown is much easier to repair and technician friendly!

There are many differences in comparing Crown to Atlet. If its a cheaper you want go with Crown. You will pay for it later in repairing way more parts and you will notice more workers comp claims. Atlet is the Mercedes Benz of the forklift world. Every new truck is assembled to fit a specific application and are not made until you order it (Sounds like Jack in the Box). Fewer moving parts and the "genius of design" and ergonomics are remarkable. -- "Productivity through Ergonomics"

I would say it greatly depends on how YOU define "better".

No, not really. I think were you in Europe the Atlet service team would give them an edge against Crown, but in the US it seems logical that Crown would be superior.

Thanks for your input. Do you think Atlet trucks are better than crown trucks?

Agree with Jon B and I've worked with them (Atlet) for a long time too..

Trucks are average but are well marketed...agree Jungheinrich, Linde/Still and Toyota have better ranges for performance, ergonomics and efficiency.

Not bad trucks but inefficient compared to those available from other European companies. You should check out Still and Jungheinrich if its technology you're in to....
