Truck Theft

We are seeing increasing number of fork lift trucks stolen within the industry , not only blaytent theft but also companies hiring in machines one day and disappearing the next !. Were will it end? and how can the industry resolve the practice?

here, "lo-jack" has not only a GPS function, but a disables unit ignition function also, but the trouble is, no one is driving away on the forklift, they have loaded it into a truck or ship, and the truck is driving or the ship sailing away..

telemetrics are a help - but will put you in a general location - ideally you want something to enable remote deactivation of all functions which can only be restored by site visit of engineer.
Main issue is we don't share bad experiences and all suppliers get suckered in the same way by the same groups of lowlifes.

gps trackers seem to help, I know some companies in the US have used "lo-jack" with great success.
