Toyota 8fgcu20 free lift issue

I have a 2012 Toyota 8fgcsu20 that has a free lift issues. When you lift the forks they begin to lift but before the lift cylinder maxes out the 2nd stage cylinders begin to lift and if you leave the forks in the air about 3' the drop within minutes. could a internal leaking lift cylinder cause both these issues or am I looking at some other issue.

At the bottom of the rod held in by a snap ring. Should be able to be pulled out with a pick and slight tension.

Free lift cylinder bottom seal is more than likely cracked. Definitely repack and replace the bullet valve at the bottom.

The free lift packing is probably bad and there is a check valve in the bottom of the piston you have to replace it or it will not cycle correctly. Hope l was of help.
