Discussion:
dash board is dead

I was replacing the drive/tow switch, "I did not unplug the power" there was some arcing amongst the drive /to rocker switch then I lost power to the dash board, and nothing happens when I turn the key on, the main fuse is good, Fu3 fuse is good, fu2 fuse has a broken leg, Fu5 fuse is bad, before I replace them I would like to know what the do, and would also appreciate any help

Both of those fuses are for the control circuit, they prevent over amperage for the display and key systems. From what you mentioned above, I am not suprised that they blew. Replacing them will solve your issue. Anytime you are doing work on a lift, disconnect the battery and drain the module capacitors. Otherwise you are going to want to stock alot of fuses and make sure you have good medical inssurance and 911 on speed dial.
