Discussion:
Sc4200 left brake stuck

Hi there,

We have a Crown 4200 with a problem. When i select forward or backwards en want to drive forwards or backwards the forklift moves very slow. I It looks like the brake of the left motor is not releasing. When i activate the towing mode both brakes do release and wheels are spinning freely. When i activate drive mode i only hear one "ping" of the brake solenoids. In towing mode i hear two "pings" when the brakes release. I jacked the front of truck to see if both motors wil spin in drive mode. Only the right motor will spin fast, the left motor will spin very slowly. There are no error codes on the display. I also calibrated the brake and throttle pedal. I hope there is someone who has some ideas?

I think i found the problem! When analyzing the RPM one engine always shows value 0. So i think the RPM sensor is broken.

Thank you for your replay, the first time I calibrated i got a 124 event code (problem with steer encoder), the second time steering calibrating was successful and no other event codes are showing. Is there a way to check if there is a problem with the steer encoder?

Did you calibrate the steering?

Sounds like the motor thinks it's on full lock so it won't pick up.
