hydraulic capabilities with seat switch disengaged

does the OAS system on a 2014 Hyster with mechanical hydraulics stop the lowering of the forks when the seat sensor is disengaged?

The OPS system will not allow the operation of hydraulics when the seat sensor is not activated. You must be physically in the seat or pressing down on the seat sensor for hydraulics to work.

A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
