LIFT GOES UP 6' AND STOPS

SKYJACK SJIII 4632
This darn machine will go only up about 82" (ground to floor) and STOP, same place every time. I am electrician of 31yrs, and I am beginning to think I gotta go back to trade-school!!!! This is driving me crazy!

It drives fine, steers fine, DOWN is fine.......but all of a sudden it stops at 82" when given an UP command!

Machine is level.....totally level. Batteries are full. Lift is empty (no load). Oil reservoir full. Does this with platform and base controls, either or, same problem.

When I manually rotate the lobe (at the safety limit switches on the rear-side scissor X frame members) that actuates the limit switches, it permits me more distance for UP travel. I know I can't rotate these lobes to suit my interests as they've been set for a reason.

Does anyone know why a lift would go up and stop when one of those safety limit switches is actuated?

Pothole switches aren't closing, look at the springs in the back of the side doors and verify coming all the way down. If they are open the doors and look by where those springs activate a switch on each side, one of those switches aren't closing

Fact of the week
According to studies published in the English Journal of Medicine, the impact of daylight savings is revealed by a 24% increase in heart attacks on the Monday following the spring shift forward. When clocks move back in autumn, heart attacks drop by about 21%, suggesting that loss of sleep is an important driver.
