Discussion:
Motor lockout Mod06

Reach truck has been great - never a problem. Suddenly it stopped working and I get this error code. Motor lockout Mod06.
I can't even lower the mast - luckily no load on it and not very high up. You would think - from a safety point of view - they would allow you to lower the load.
I had to get a friend nearby to use his forklift to lift the rear wheel off the ground to push it back inside.
Now I am stuck and with the country on lockdown REALLY stuck.
Any ideas? Where can I find a manual for this machine - pref free to download if it is out of copyright of course.
thanks

This is usually down to the steer controller which is mod 6 or the steer motor.

Remove the motor cables off the steer control unit which sits behind the seat, and check the U,V,W on the unit between the supply pos or negative on the unit and those connections with a digital multimeter on diode test. You may find 1 of the phases is short or open circuit. They usually read identical if ok. Test the motor cables to chassis for shorts and check between the phases on the motor for open circuit. Those are basic checks that can be carried out.
