Discussion:
Access 3

We have a pe4500 not sure of the serial buttons an encore purchased in july of 2019.
We were using this truck to see if we could mimick a scenario on a 2006 model 4500 where if negative wire was removed from lift solenoid the L1 contactor will click on and off. On the newer 4500 it did not, but now the new 4500 will not boot up it seems. No codes, but when keyed on access 1 seems to go through start up, makes a chirp and the yellow led of battery guage just blinks. Doesn't test L1 contactor not nothing. Doesn't seem to be communicating with access 3. We have ohmed the can hi and lo wires they pass. Not sure what else to check.

On the older 4500 from 96, everything works with the exception if handle is up and times
out and releases L1 contactor, if you try to raise the forks L1 pulls in for a split second and let's go, and you have to rekey the truck. No wrench light no codes.
Any help on either would be appreciated.
Thanks

No lift works as long as you "wake the truck up" by pulling the handle down like you were going to ride it. Crown tech came in and is thinking it needs a new access 3.

Is the lift solenoid tips welded? Just give it a good tap to release it

The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
