Discussion:
Chatter's when starting out and stopping.

I have a Hyster B60ZAC, serial number is B230N04001J with a Iskra controller in it, that will chatter when you first take off, then will smooth out after you get going. I've replaced the encoder, due to channel issues, then the motor itself along with the drive unit. With no change. I do not see any wiring issues and connections appear to be good at all connectors. I have run it with the brake assembly off of the unit with no change, it still chatters. I also tried a different tiller card. I have been unable to find the correct schematic for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to let you know that the controller did repair the problem. Thanks for your help.

I will try the cables as a last resort before informing them the controller looks to be the culprit. Thanks for your help, greatly appreciated.

Amperage is what generates heat. It sounds to me like a defective controller. Sure cannot hurt to try new cables.

Of the three sites, I have one that is cool to the touch, one that is pretty warm and smoother that is REALLY hot. Does it sound like a couple of bad cables ( start with that) and if the new cables are also getting hot, I may need to look into a controller? I also took readings on all three wires while I was test driving and the hottest one had the highest voltage.

Run the truck for a few minutes and check each motor cable for excess heat. If one cable is hot and the others are not it could be a bad cable or a defective motor controller.
