Komatsu FB 15M intermittent drive problem help pls

Using my komatsu FB15M today.
A load (builders bag full of rubble) came loose and fell about a metre before the backup rope stopped it from falling to the ground. This jilted the machine. Since that moment I’ve lost drive forward and backward.. not completely though- I turn the machine on, select forward or backward (with lever beside steering wheel) I can hear the starter motor wizz up as normal (I think it’s a starter motor).. But when I put my foot on the excelortor there is no movement for about 4 seconds ish.. then the machine lerches forward at full speed.

I took the panel off to have a look at the twin motors and I can see the brakes etc..
when I press the accelerator I can see the motors trying to turn, maybe turning ever so slightly.. then suddenly woosh were going full speed.

Everything else works fine on the forklift, lifting up, down, side shift all ok...

I was using the forklift most of the morning without problems until this.

Any help much appreciated, I’m pretty stuck without it

Thanks, Rowan.

The use of "hello" as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. He is said to have suggested it as a simpler alternative to other greetings, such as "Do I get you?" or "Are you there?".
