OVER HEATING IGNITION COIL

HI I NEED SOME HELP WITHA MITSI GAS MACHINE.6 MONTHS AGO IT WOULD NOT START AFTER INVESTIGATION FOUND FAULTY COIL AND PICKUP IN DISTRIBUTER.REPLACED BOTH AND TRUCK RAN FINE.3 MONTHS LATER SAME PROBLEM SO I FITTED THE SAME PARTS ONLY AFTER TESTING MACHINE FOUND IGNITION COIL GETS VERY HOT.I CHECKED CONNECTIONS TO COIL AND BALLAST RESISTOR THEY SEEM FINE CANT SEE ANYTHING ELSE WRONG.ITS STARTING TO GET COSTLY TO REPLACE PARTS SO ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

check that the voltage is completely shutting off to it so that the coil isnt getting power when it shouldnt be

it the alternator overcharging?
resistance on the harness or loose connections?

check the frame grounds etc
