Discussion:
Unit has no tilt back

Unit is a 8FGU25.

It has no tilt back. If you rev the motor and tap the tilt lever forward then pull it back, it'll tilt back but not all the way. You can keep doing that and eventually reach max back tilt. Forward tilt works completely fine.

I talked to my service manager and he said it's the buttons on the control valve for the tilt spool. I swapped those out (the red wire was damaged), put the control valve back in, and still no tilt back. Everything else works just fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

check the auxillary relief pressure and check valve
should be located on the main control valve
if no issue found there then i'd look at checking for cylinder bypass, one cylinder could have bad packing

Were you able to find a solution to this?. I have a lift (8FGCU30) with the same issue. Tilt back will work intermittently, forward is ok.
