Discussion:
Lp Gas leaking out of air filter E21, E23

Hello, I'm having fault codes E21 and E23 on 2008 C5000 forklift. I noticed LP gas starts to leak out of air filter when ignition is on. This forklift has Nissan K25lp engine.
Wondering if anyone has experienced such problem?
Also I'm looking for service manual for this forklift?

The vaporizer is available new and reman from you local Cat dealer as well as all of the parts to rebuild. If you have not rebuilt one of these before I would suggest going with new or reman version. The reason for this is the vaporizers on these trucks have changed several times over the years and take different components and if you do not know which one you have you may not be getting the correct components.

Your LPG fuel injector can also leak fuel past it. Normally if you have a leak from your vaporizer it will be coming through the small vacuum hose from the vaporizer to the air horn on the mixer.

Not sure how Cat sells their regulators. If this is not emission compliant you can get a repair kit for the regulator.

That is usually a blown regulator/vaporizer.

Fact of the week
Funerals in Spain typically occur within 24 to 48 hours of death, whereas in other European countries they wait one or more weeks. This rapid timeframe is a cultural norm grown from the past need to manage the warm climate without modern embalming.
