Discussion:
Will not shift into forward

Hello all!

I am brand new to this forum. My name is Landon and I live in North Texas. I recently acquired my first forklift in a trade. It is a Toyota FGC10 - 100318. It is a pretty old machine. The forward gear will work every once in awhile (after 20 or so attempts). The individual I got it from said the shift fork needed to be adjusted??? I just do not want to start taking bolts out without at least asking a few questions and doing some research. Does anyone have experience with this model (in particular the transmission)? I have searched the web and cannot find much on a FGC10. Probably due to its age. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks - Landon
