Discussion:
drive fault

Hi

Can anyone help with the following please.

We have a Yale ERP20ATF S/N F807A

The truck isn't showing any fault codes but when you put it in forward or reverse sometimes it picks up as normal but other times it starts to move but very slowly, its almost like the electronic brake is not giving the signal to the truck the release the brake.

It has a direction lever on the steering column.

Thanks

I've had a few years experience on these trucks, and I've noticed with these motors mounted in the horizontal position and depending on the environment these trucks are working in, debri and muck can gather around the drive motor terminals and if it's a bit damp can trigger fault codes, removing muck and dirt usual rectifies problem.
You can do a lot of calibration through the dash display on this truck but you do need an engineers no to access the menus and I'm thinking you may need the acceleration pot calibrating.

the software required to connect to this truck is the yale ac controls software.
doubt they sell this to anyone, its proprietary software.
so unless your a yale dealer tech you won't get it legally.
call a yale dealer if you need laptop diagnosis.

I should think all you need is a multi meter to check the motor out.

Hi, Thank you for your response, since then we are now getting a fault code of R66 and its saying that the RH drive motor is shorting.. we will have a look at this and hope that the drive motor hasn't gone down. Do you know what software you need top plug into this machine?

Thanks

if you question the brake releasing you might want to check the brake adjustment and make sure it is fully releasing.
Being that your problem is intermittent that may be why. Air gap on brake is set too close so it's not releasing enough.
