Howdy all! Trying to track down information on setting the mast height calibration encoder, as well as the weight calibration. Anyone have any insight to the process, or point me towards a source that would have this info. Our local dealer is just short of 'Helen Keller shooting golf' on the usefulness range when it comes to ANY in-depth info on this truck. I have the two different access levels for parameter settings, but 'calibrate height' just takes me back out to the home menu screen... This vehicle predates Unicarriers, so their response has been "Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?"....[isn't that you guys?] oh well.... Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Don,t open up the box, if you tapped it and mothing happens leave it, relais is okay.
Contact me with email, i have some guidance for you.
In 2 hours i,ll be home and can answer your mail
okay. now this thing is **** me off. I ran all checks and came up with nothing. I set up a new operator, new passcode (2, 3333) logged into truck under new operator, everything works. No faults. Drives, steers, lifts, reaches, EVERYTHING. Where in the original operator (operator 1) profile would I find the menu line that has shut down lift functions? [in authorized menu or logged-off menu?] Do you have a master listing of all of the menu lines? I know its a long list. I can now get back to my original problem of calibrating lift height and weight. [ant guidance is greatly appreciated] Thanks in advance for all of your help!
crawled through the menus, found error logs
Pump error (with time and date stamp)
CAN system (several times in last 30 logged errors, including last two)
Drive error (popped up sporadically)
Cover on control unit is a large number of small screws on top? (any hidden or trick screws?) I have green lamps at both of the SauerDanfoss drive modules, with 48v at both input posts. Leading me to this might be a software problem. Have tried cold reboot, tried tapping on case. Next step is going inside the case to try direct tapping on relay casings.
I will try gentle tapping (we call it percussive adjustment, over here :) ) Yes, if you have info for the board relays, that would be helpful! I have done some board-level repairs in the past - on other equipment. Thank you for the info!
First try to tab the box with screwdriver while slowly lifting at the same time, very inportant. I repared 7 boxes the last 2 years, they had all strange errors caused by the minirelais inside, if you lift and it falls you get a lifting error, the same for driving, the same for steering, you get my point!!! I can sent same picture,s for the relais, cost a dime instead of a new controller for 2700 euro,s!!!
yes. the Pabst fan by the drive boxes cycles when the machine boots up, along with the fan under the seat. I will go back through the error log to see what has been stored. every once in a while we get the E106 error on boot-up (steering encoder, if I recall. We have to fully spin the wheel both directions then the machine is happy)
I will poke at the various connections with a meter later this evening. I will share my findings.
Your help has been invaluable today - thank you!
Yes 4, the old boxes had 12 led,s.
There are some issues with the boxes Atlet will not repair by my nowledge, there is a minirelais fitted to the board inside the box that gives some problems, you can check that by tapping the top of the main controller with a srewdrivers bottemside while softly lifting.
If the power falls off you know it is the minirelais giving trouble.
Normally there should be a errorcode on the display, you can check the code in the Log, extra info if you push the I on the nummeric pad.
For the Hydraulique Stopped, check the ventilator by connecting the battery, then enter your drivercode (1-2222 i quess for USA),as soon as it starts up the ventilator behind the SaurDanfoss boxes should turn on for a few seconds, if not ventilator broken. You can check signal with voltmeter. if broken change with original part, if not other problems will acure.
no. Looks to be 4 in a row, under the ribbon cable that feeds the display module. Main control box Part No. 090420, serial number 8. Yes, only 7 previous unit to this one...
Truck model UFS250DTFVRE480
Check the main controller to, are there 12 red LED,s on it or less?
yes, SauerDanfoss ACi 48/400 KVF. I think both the transport drive and hydraulic drive use the same model box. Ironically, SauerDanfoss has a large facility about 50km up the interstate from us in Ames, IA. I believe it is a hydrostat axle plant. I will send you an email! (its 2:10 in the afternoon here, so there will be a time differential) Huge thanks!
I have some info for URF/UNS reachtrucks, depends which boxes are used.
I think SauerDanfoss, if you contact me by email, maybe i can help you from overseas ;)
Dank Je! for your help on this. Yes, this does have the mini-chain for the encoder, and S3 is checked 'on' in the menu. I am currently chasing down a larger issue of 'Stopped Hydraulics' message (and subsequent lack of any fingertip controls) I went through the menu and the computer is registering all of the paddles and their respective parameter sets, but no activity at the pump drive. I need to open the hood and make sure everything is connected at the drive module. There is ZERO info for this truck - our so-called 'dealer' has no info either, so I am sailing the high seas of the internet for any and all help. (my Dutch is sketchy, even after spending 20 years in Pella, IA) Again, thank you for any and all help offered!
Hy SmokedChops
You still need that info on the height system?
Works only if there is a small chain on the right side of the mast and S3 is ON in the option menu
that should read Tergo 250...fat thumbs.
