for still trucks with ic engine `generator` alarm means all kind of problems related to the alternator. it has nothing to do with the generator either AC or DC.

I believe the message "generator" on the display is attributed to the truck's alternator - check it for overvoltage (voltage regulator faulty = excessive voltage output)

HI,
check the engine tacho it is mounted on top of the bell housing, the wires can chauf through to the tacho also near the servo motor.
Is it a dc generator or the newer ac generator this one is smaller the drive axle has a big silver box on top of it,
Pete

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
