Discussion:
Steam from exhaust & water in engine breather

I think I know what the problem is after having the head pressure tested I am assuming there must be a crack in the block below the piston. Before purchasing a new block I just wondered whether anyone else has had a "steam train Linde" or any engine with similar symptoms?

Thanks

Had a "steam train Toyota". a mid 80's, 3k lb model, toyota 5R engine. Would steam up and burn oil after getting up to operating temperature. The root cause was a failed 35 year old head gasket. Pulled it apart, installed new head gasket, fired it up, flushed engine oil system twice and she has been purring like a kitten ever since.
