Discussion:
soft BT

Hello colleague!
I have great problems with RRE160 at replacement CID. It is very necessary TruckCom TE 2.3 or above (I have interfaces USB and COM). In the Manual it is written that it is necessary to copy a configuration from the another truck. Help me please!

Hello Forkingabout
The main problem - I don't have BT Truck Com TE software new versions.

Before consolidation ВТ and Toyota in my region in 2010 my company officially represented interests ВТ. I was technician ВТ seven years... Interfaces remained. Clients too remained and want service.

If you have replaced the CID unit you may also find there is a software mismatch with the rest of the nodes.

1st - do you have BT Truck Com software?

2nd - what software package is currently installed in the truck?

Connect the original CID to the truck, truck OFF, Press I button & look at CID display, it should have Truck Serial number & pkg: then 260038 - ****
Its the **** part of this number thats VERY VERY IMPORTANT to know!

You will actually need to copy the configuration from the MCU to the new CID, in Truck Com, drop down menu box on right, scroll down to COPY CONFIGURATION.

Open that & 2 options will then show up, select the Copy configuration from MCU to CID option.

Click that, then click YES on the warning box, wait till its finished copying then fingers crossed job done.

Truck Com 2.3 is pretty old, I know version 2.6 or later works on an RRE.

Where did you manage to get the interfaces from?

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
