Update to this menacing problem. Remove access 1 module and put on sister unit, passed and traveled. Also installed new brake switch, still ***. Guess my only other option is to ohm out harness. What do you guys think???
Dear ctech,
Thank you so much for your input. I did swap accel pot with brake pot, same problem. Yesterday would not accept brake pedal input, before I left, put on charger. Today customer used unit for about 2 hrs, doing same thing. Battery reading 37.5 VDC. ??????? Going there right now.
Sincerely,
David
The brake switch input also goes into the Access 1. On the 5200 the display is what drives the brakes. I would check there. Also check your brake pot voltage and resistance.
Thanks for the input swoop. Thats another thing. This has been intermittent for about a week. Now it is hard down. Haven't changed wire position on switch. Any other ideas?
ya it sounds as if its working backwards to me.
check that switch and see if it has a NO and NC terminal. It may be possible it could of been wired backwards?
Thanks Jplayer,
I did check brake switch and this is what is confusing me. I found that once that micro switch is actuated, that's when the wrench on console comes on, and will not travel, just tells me to press on brake pedal. Also another bit of info, while in calibration mode, after I push enter button to show pedal not depressed, will ask me to depress pedal, and push enter. That orange wrench comes on, but display shows calibration passed. WTF
you may want to test the brake switch and its related wiring, if it (the controller) passes the 'calibration' you speak of then i'll assume the controller brake input circuit 'in' the controller is operating ok.
