Does your RRE have one or two steering reference sensors fitted?

Was the sensor you replaced under the silver metal bar that supports the pedal / floor unit?

If the truck has Safety PLUS fitted there is a second steering reference sensor fitted directly in front of you when you open the motor compartment.

What does go on these is the gearbox radial bearing fails & if its left to long the gearbox can move during travel over a bump & damage the steer sensor.

Jack & support the truck safely so the drive wheel is clear of the floor, grab a large bar & check for radial bearing play by attempting to lift the drive wheel straight up levering it with the bar, if the radial bearing is faulty you will see / feel the play this way.

Its very rare to get a real steering fault on a RRE.
