thanks for the reply guys, @kevin_t i was thinking that same thing with it grounding out somewhere since its just a single wire from the battery level indicator to the meter print board connector, then i went to check the connector on the meter print board connector underneath the steering unit and did not find a wire to the connector. As i was double checking the connector from the schematic to the connector pin, making sure i was looking at the correct connector and it was just an empty slot.

my attempt was to find the wire on that meter print board connector and snip it off and cap it, i couldn't even do that.

my question now, would there be another wire on that meter print board connectors colored RED w/ YELLOW strip? and am i looking at the correct board (underneath steering wheel, inside the plastic cover with keyswitch assembly)?

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
