What you have is the early version of the F series Continental head. I have not found a way to use the Pertronix distributor with it. To use that distributor you would need to swap to a late version head plus a distributor drive shaft and hold down device for the distributor. It is not a difficult thing, however will require some more parts. If the price of a new old stock distributor is good that would be a fine way to resolve your problem. You can also install a kit in the old style distributor to do away with the points if you prefer that.
