If you are going from the older rectangle encoder to the updated round style. You will need a software update. You will need software version 13 or greater for DC truck or version 3 or greater on an AC truck. Unfortunately this normally requires a service call from your Crown dealer. As far as I know Crown will not allow software updates on NON company/dealership laptops. And even the software they send out to dealerships is time/installation encrypted and self destructs after. Mission impossible type stuff. haha
