Hello! My name is Santiago, I'm from Entre Rios, Argentina. Nice to meet you everybody in the forum, I found this forum searching info about an old Clark that we have on my house. I will try to write well in inglish (I did not study so much the english language, but google translator will help me)...so here I go...
Let me tell you, my father changed a few years ago a trailer by a Clark forklift minding on put it to work later, my father is a truck driver. But we can't make it work well. I think that it is a CFY40B model from the 60's because I saw a few photographies on internet with that name; here in my country Clark industries produced Forklifts in asociation with IKA (Industrias Kaiser Argentina), IKA provided the SOHC 4 cilinder gasoline engines (I will tell you some more about Kaiser history after)...IKA industries was dissolved back on the 80's and Clark forklift production was stopped. You can image the difficult of finding some technical data now.
Can I post images here?If any one knows how, please tell me, so I can show you the Old Clark and I will tell you better the troubles that it got, with images.
The lift has not enough strenght to lift more than...I think...500 kgs (1000 Lbs some some)....we was using it for lifting engines
and things like that....but when we try to lift a wood pallet with 1000 kgs (2000 Lbs) of anything; the Clark can't lift it.
We replaced all the oil of the hydraulic system, and retired the oil pump for disassemble and cleanned it all... the hoses looks like that have no leaks...
After we install the hyd oil pump the trouble goes on and it's worst, with the engine runing at normal, without aceleration...the lift doesn't goup....we have to acelerate the engine to help the lift go up (Before we retire the hyd pump the lift can go up slowly with the engine working normal, without aceleration).

How can I know if the hyd pump have not enough work pressure? How can I know if the internal parts of the pump are broken? The pump is a VICKERSO VANE PUMP with this numbers: 2544. 987/988/990
Thanks for your help...I will post images later if I found how. Greetings
