I rolled the poly off of the front wheel of my Mover brand lift. With the 3 day holiday no service calls available. I did in fact purchase a new tire and without a clue started the daunting task of changing myself. I determined that a pressed type fit was engaged by looking at the replacement tire. With the poly rolled off the truck refused to move and currently occupies space in the middle of the shop.
My floor jack does no good to lift the machine as the ground clearance is not much and removing the old rubber and changing the tire meant elevating. I tilted my boom back and stacked some iron squares under on the inflicted side and tilted forward lifting the mule, I repeated and now have the mule elivated. After removing the rubber I went to the task of fabricating a puller.
Without going into the entire process I was able to remove the old wheel and thinking that adding a bottle jack to my puller would mace a press. Only one problem the iron base i used was only as big as the wheel and won't reach around the new wheel and tire. Before I start making a whole new assembly I was hopeing to get some insite from someone who knows about little mule's.
QUESTION: How do I go about pressing on the new tire in the shop without the proper tools?
