After what must been seen as disappointment for KION in the failure to purchase what seemed to be a done deal on Unicarrier what is next for KION. KION 2020 project was to become the number one forklift manufacture in the world as well as the most profitable one. Is the main part of this now a impossible task KION have to buy NACCO if they have any chance of even keeping the number 2 spot as the new Mistubshi Unicarrier company will soon be pushing for this position especially if they have some tie up with junghienrch.

What must been seen by the market as a big loss will NACCO or the companies that sell NACCO equipment want to stay or sell what now seems to be prominently a Chinese company product where Chinese design takes prominence. From what has been seen so far with only the H25T being shown to the market as a Chinese designed Linde product and what is said to be the new 10 - 16 ton Linde that has taken over 2 years to design but has not yet broke into the market because of the worries Linde has about been seen as a predominately Chinese company now leaves a couple of more serious questions

First how long will the interdependent dealers in Germany and France keep with the Linde product that seems to be going backwards and more towards being manufactured in China ,Over 70% of KION turnover in 2013 was in these two countries.

And Second how long will the KION share price stay high at Euro 40 when the market come to terms with how will KION now grow their business.

KION at the moment are ultimately out of forklifts over 10 ton based on market share a NACCO purchase will ultimately change this , KION are also not really in the North American market with a market share of less than 10% again NACCO would change this but will the likes of Briggs who control so much of NACCO sales stay or will the go to some one like Doosan or even Hyundai if NACCO go to KION.
