It is hard for me to imagine that John Deere would develop an engine just for IC lifts. I can't think of anything else that John Deere makes that they could use this engine for that would fit in your typical 5000# capacity LP gas truck. The Nissan engine is used in Tusk, Komatsu, Nissan, and even Caterpillar/Mitsubishi trucks. The development costs for an engine to meet the new EPA standards is high. You have to sell a lot of to pay for your investment.
