Thanks kevin t. I've checked all that and still the same. I connect the battery and step on the deadman pedal and get the hour meter reading (o.k). As soon as I turn the keyswitch on I get code -51. I tried manually closing the line contactor and it stays on o.k. then I move the controll handle to move unit fwd or reverse and get code -48 in both directions. I also noticed what I think is a suppressor getting hot and smoking till i turn keyswitch off.the suppressor is connected between the red and brown wires coming from the OSC controller connector to two black rectangular shaped components with 4 prongs each. I have no manuals for this

truck or wiring diagrams, schematics, component location charts. I have an idea these might be recs. They are next to the blue capacitors and look like they are hooked up to them via aluminum buss bars. When I manually close the line contactor the steer motor comes on fine and am able to turn steefing wheel fine but get code-48 and the smoking suppressor. Anybody have any ideas???
